Burnsville Shaken With Fear
June 2 2010, on a day like any other or so the people of Minnesota would think. At About 4:00 P.M. a massive earthquake hits in the city of Burnsville. A regular sunny day turns into a horrible nightmare when 10 houses crumble to the ground, families become stranded and many individuals are killed. Amy Howard a well known seismologist looked over the reports of the earths crust, "From what I can tell the strain and tectonic pressure in the earths crust has caused plates to move in a different direction then normal and is affecting the plates below Burnsville to brush against each other causing them to get stuck which causes a rupture in the surface which in turn caused the quake to happen". So far there have been a total of fifty-three deaths in the last twenty-four hours and seems to be rising. Seismologists all over the United States are working together to try and stop the strain on some of the plates but at this time do not yet know the cause for the change in direction. Matthew Jackson a Grad student from the University of Phoenix is also looking at the problem. Matthew when asked about the problem said, "I don't think that this is a problem that can be easily solved if it can be solved at all," President Obama has put every effort into solving this problem but so far hasn't had much progress.

We got a paper in class and had to find different ads. I thought it would be a lot easier then it actually was. Finding the right ads was hard. I noticed that there are a lot more out there then we think. Every time we go to a different page there is some kind of advertisement trying to get our attention.

Nike!
The demographic segment for me is age 18, white, female ,and middle class. The geographic ould be colder weather more urban large population. They would have to go for winter but casual shoe type. The shoes would have to be brighter color but more in the casual area because I'm not very athletic. Behavioralisticlly they would have to be sold toward the begining of the school year. I would be a first time buyer and they would have to be less expensive. My main riosk would be the finanical risk because i would worry about haveing money for other more important things.

Images

One of the images that first popped into my head was the one of Rosa Parks sitting on the bus. this picture is important to me because of the outcome. this photo impacted my life because it shows that we all deserve the same rights and freedoms. Also someone should have the right to do things and not have to be judged or to have those things taken away from them just because they are different.

Media Lit

It's the second semester of my senior year at Burnsville High school and one of my new classes is Media lit with Mrs. Gustafson. I also had her last semester for American lit she is an awesome teacher and very funny. At first I thought that the media lit class would be boring and hard but it isn't as boring as I thought. I'm still deciding on weather I'm going to enjoy the class but so far it does seem very interesting to me. Well you never know until you give it a try so we will see.
